A Phi Kappa Phi member since 2012, Dr. Brian Powell is excited to help grow the WVU chapter and spread the word about what PKP offers to WVU students.
Dr. Powell is a Teaching Assistant Professor in the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He has both Ph.D. and M.S. degrees in computer science from WVU and a B.A. in computer science from Malone College. His primary research areas are in CAPTCHAs and online security.
Prior to becoming chapter president in 2018, he served as chapter secretary-treasurer during 2016 and 2017.
